We would be honoured to be your family’s portrait photographer, we take great pride in providing our clients with quality images that will be cherished for generations.
You might be wondering why professional family photos are so important. Well, a photograph remembers the little things, even after you have forgotten the big things. That’s why documenting your family’s evolution is one of the best investments you can make. More than just photographs, these images will one day become some of your families most cherished heirlooms.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE FAMILY PHOTOS
We like to suggest scheduling your family session annually. Kids grow up so fast, it’s hard to believe how much they can change in such a short period of time. But when you compare one year to the next, the evolution is remarkable.
Annual family portraits also helps set a pattern. When you do photos every few years, it becomes easy to cancel or push your shoot to next year. However, next year can quickly turn into 5 years, and before you know it, you’ve missed out on an opportunity to document the evolution of your family’s story.
WHERE SHOULD MY FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION TAKE PLACE
We’re personally a big fan of outdoor portrait sessions. We even have a list of preferred locations for shoots in and around the Montreal area!
WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION
The important thing is that everyone feels comfortable. However, we suggest your entire family wear similarly styled outfits; everyone has a casual look or everyone has a formal look.
And while it’s not necessary for the entire family to sport the same colour, a harmonious colour palette photographs better together.
We would be more than happy to consult with you and your outfit choice(s).
WHAT IF I’M NOT VERY PHOTOGENIC
You would be surprised how often we get this question.
“My kids are adorable but I don’t photograph well”
The truth is, this kind of statement never turns out to be true, and mom and dad end up loving the way they look in the photos too.
Taking great photographs is what we do, and if you need a little guidance, we will know how to coach you through your family portrait session. Trust us, we’ll have a great time together, and you’ll look more beautiful than you thought was possible.
CAN I KEEP THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION PRIVATE
Definitely not a problem! When a client requests that we keep their images private and offline, we’re happy to oblige. You may indicate so when booking your session.
WILL RETOUCHING BE INCLUDED IN MY FAMILY PORTRAIT PACKAGE
We include retouching in the price of the package you purchase! Please be sure to let us know if there are specific things you want to be retouched so that we can make note of that.
