Fall is here, and that means it's apple picking season here in Quebec! And there is no better location to pick apples and get some beautiful family portraits than at Hemmingford's enchanting apple orchard.

Not only is going apple picking with the family a super fun outing, but it's also a family tradition worth documenting with professional portraits.

Last weekend, we spent a few hours exploring the Petch Family Orchards with the Nieradka-Piperni family. Located in Hemmingford, Quebec, just 45 minutes from Montreal, this family-owned farm is the perfect location to spend a day. Not only do they have some of the most delicious apples you will ever eat, available on-site is a boutique, mini zoo, and a picnic area.

For four generations, the Petch family has been growing apples, pears, and plums at their idyllic Hemmingford Orchard. And their promise of quality and freshness extends to customer service. The staff could not have been more courteous, and they even helped us find the best locations for photos.

Here are a few of our favorite images from the day! You'll notice that little Gabriel stole the show. It was his first time picking apples, and the excitement on his face could not be contained.

September and October are great months for outdoor family photos. As the leaves begin to change colour, we’re treated to a lovely mix of sweet and soft sunshine, comfortable temperatures, and best of all, no mosquitoes!
